Salary: $120,000-$150,000 plus commission

Summary: My client is seeking an intelligent Director of Business Development to help grow and foster client relationships. You will play a key role in the sales process: getting lead generation, closing deals, driving revenue growth, and creating relationships both inside and outside. You will be a part of a team that helps C and I companies get the cheapest price for their electricity and gas. Are you looking to be part of a leading energy management company?

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for…

  • Generate business for large Commercial & Industrial, supporting their power and gas loads
  • Fostering client partnerships and always looking for new opportunities
  • Advise clients on energy solutions, including energy procurement, site selection, grid interconnection, renewable and energy storage
  • Manage the entire sales process
  • Nurture relationships with clients, serving as their trusted advisors in navigating energy strategies and solutions
  • Stay informed of market trends to help create strategic decision making

Key Qualifications

The Director of Business Development are required to have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, energy management
  • 10+ years of business development expertise in commercial and industrial energy procurement, strategic advisory, and infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and foster long-term client partnerships
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Be able to influence decision-makers
  • Strong understanding of energy markets and products

The Director of Business Development is preferred to have the following qualifications:

  • MBA in Business Administration
  • Holds professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Business Energy Professional (BEP)
  • Experience with CRM Software
  • Skilled in identifying market records, evaluating competitors and formulating sales strategies
