Mechanical Project Manager

LVI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a technically proficient engineer with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for delivering high-quality mechanical systems across a variety of building types, including healthcare, higher education, government, and mission-critical facilities.

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle-from concept through construction-ensuring technical excellence, client satisfaction, and on-time, on-budget delivery. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and serve as a key liaison between clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering design and project management for complex building systems.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet client expectations and internal goals.
  • Oversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team culture.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
  • Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant design and project management tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working on healthcare, higher education, or government projects is a plus.
