PROJECT MANAGER CAMPUS PLANNER & URBAN DESIGNER - NYC/BOSTON
A nationally recognized, multidisciplinary design studio is seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in architecture, campus planning, and urban design. This is a unique opportunity to lead transformative projects that shape the future of campuses, neighborhoods, and cities across the U.S. and internationally.
Based in either New York City or Boston, you'll join a collaborative team working on high-impact projects that blend strategic planning, adaptive reuse, and sustainable urban design.
What You'll Do
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and contracts
- Serve as the primary client liaison and lead stakeholder engagement
- Develop master plans, urban frameworks, and site-scale design concepts
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams across architecture, landscape, mobility, and sustainability
- Guide the creation of visualizations, diagrams, and final deliverables
- Present to clients, boards, agencies, and community groups
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and interviews
Project Types Include
- Campus and facility master plans
- Mixed-use and affordable housing developments
- Urban revitalization and downtown vision plans
- Waterfront and public realm design
- Resilience and sustainability strategies
What You Bring
- 10-15+ years of experience in campus planning, urban design, or architecture
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience
- Strong portfolio of campus and urban-scale work
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Rhino, ArcGIS, Enscape (Revit a plus)
- Experience with zoning, mobility, sustainability, and space planning
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills
