Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 DOE

A well‑established heavy civil contractor in Arizona is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a strong pipeline of infrastructure work across the state. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction‑focused PM who enjoys managing projects from the field perspective and delivering complex civil work successfully.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout. Projects may include DOT highways, water/wastewater systems, underground utilities, and earthwork, offering a diverse and steady workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from award through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met
- Coordinate with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and owners
- Oversee budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and change orders
- Develop and maintain project schedules and execution plans
- Ensure projects meet safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage procurement, subcontracts, RFIs, and project documentation
- Support preconstruction efforts including budgeting and bid reviews
- Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction project management
- Background in some combination of:
- ADOT / roadway / transportation projects
- Water & wastewater infrastructure
- Underground utilities (water, sewer, storm)
- Earthwork, grading, and excavation
- Strong understanding of construction means & methods
- Ability to manage multiple projects or scopes simultaneously
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
