About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team in Boston. In this role, you will lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for electrical systems across a variety of projects, including data centers, automotive facilities, and heavy industrial builds. Your expertise will directly support strategic project planning, competitive bidding, and successful execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate and comprehensive electrical cost estimates for projects of varying scope and complexity.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
- Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors; evaluate responses for cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to align estimates with project goals.
- Utilize Accubid and Microsoft Excel to perform detailed take-offs and pricing.
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes.
- Participate in bid reviews and support pre-construction planning efforts.
Qualifications:
- 3-25+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in industrial, data center, or automotive sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and trade scopes.
- Proficiency in Accubid, Microsoft Office Suite, and estimating best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
