We are a nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm committed to delivering innovative solutions for infrastructure and environmental challenges. Our Dallas office is expanding, and we are seeking a Stormwater Lead to spearhead stormwater management and drainage initiatives across Texas and beyond.

Role Overview
As the Stormwater Lead, you will serve as the technical authority and strategic leader for stormwater projects. You'll guide design teams, manage complex projects, and develop client relationships while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and advancing sustainable water management practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead stormwater planning, design, and permitting for municipal, transportation, and land development projects.
  • Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, etc.).
  • Prepare stormwater management plans, drainage reports, and floodplain analyses.
  • Design stormwater conveyance systems, detention/retention facilities, and erosion control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with TxDOT, municipal, and FEMA standards.
  • Mentor and develop technical staff in stormwater and drainage design.
  • Support business development through proposals, client presentations, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • 10+ years of experience in stormwater management and drainage design.
  • Expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and stormwater infrastructure design.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS applications.
  • Experience with green infrastructure and low-impact development (LID) practices.
