Our client is seeking a Structural Engineer with a strong background in healthcare facility projects-someone who understands the unique demands of medical environments and is passionate about creating safe, resilient, and innovative spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze structural systems for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and medical research centers, as well as other commercial and civic projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, healthcare planners, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with OSHPD/HCAI and other healthcare-specific codes.
  • Lead seismic evaluations and retrofitting strategies tailored to critical infrastructure.
  • Utilize advanced modeling and analysis tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, Revit, and Rhino.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide construction-phase support to ensure structural integrity and adherence to healthcare design standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and innovation.


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California or on track to obtain licensure.
  • 4+ years of experience in structural design, with a proven track record in healthcare projects.
  • Familiarity with California healthcare building codes and OSHPD/HCAI requirements.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and BIM platforms.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A passion for sustainable, resilient, and patient-centered design.
