Substation Project Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Substation Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of high-voltage substation projects in the Syracuse area. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with a strong background in utility infrastructure, electrical construction, and project lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage substation construction projects from initiation through completion.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and client specifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues proactively.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience managing substation or utility-scale electrical projects.
- Strong knowledge of substation components, construction practices, and safety protocols.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- PMP certification is a plus.
