My local client is planning on expanding their Northern Virginia presence by adding a survey department to their second office in the area. They are seeking an experienced Survey Manager to work hand and hand with the Director of Surveying to expand services within an established engineering office.
Responsibilities:
- Department Development: Collaborate with the engineering team to establish and grow the survey department
- Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the survey team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to industry standards.
- Project Management: Oversee survey projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and final reporting.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Team Building: Recruit, train, and mentor survey staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of survey data.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports to the principals and other stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in surveying, with a proven track record of managing survey teams and projects.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Proficiency in survey software and equipment.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification required
