Position: Assistant Project Manager

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and administering assigned projects. You may take ownership of specific project components and will ensure all activities align with the client's values, safety standards, quality expectations, and profitability goals.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Review owner contracts and ensure compliance
  • Assist in developing the master project schedule and quality control program
  • Support contract buyout within 90 days in accordance with corporate policy
  • Contribute to site-specific safety and quality programs
  • Help create site logistics plans
  • Participate in and document punch list processes
  • Coordinate and document owner training sessions
  • Prepare O&M manuals and warranties
  • Monitor project costs against budget
  • Manage schedule updates and reporting
  • Participate constructively in project planning meetings
  • Identify risks impacting cost, schedule, or client satisfaction
  • Assist with monthly project status reports and executive summaries

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Construction or Engineering, or equivalent technical training and experience
  • Minimum of five years' experience in construction, design, finance, and management
  • Proficiency in project management software (Primavera, Expedition, CGC CMS) and MS Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and construction documentation
