Our client is a leading Australian environmental organisation delivering large‑scale conservation and natural resource management programs. The organisation is expanding into biodiversity and environmental markets and developing new nature-credit products to support long-term restoration outcomes.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Markets & Business Development Lead to drive the commercialisation of high-integrity biodiversity projects. You will build corporate partnerships, take nature-market products to market, and play a key role in shaping the organisation's emerging environmental credit portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and commercialise biodiversity and nature-credit products.
- Build and manage relationships with corporate ESG and sustainability buyers.
- Identify and convert business development opportunities across major cities.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and negotiate credit sales.
- Collaborate with internal project and marketing teams.
- Represent the organisation in environmental market networks.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10-15 years in environmental markets, carbon markets, biodiversity credits, or nature-based solutions.
- Proven business development and commercial experience.
- Strong network across corporate sustainability and environmental credit buyers.
- Understanding of carbon/biodiversity credit methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Values-driven and collaborative.
