Salary: $95,000 - $135,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
A well-established and growing heavy civil contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee complex civil infrastructure, water, wastewater, and utility construction projects throughout the Boise area. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and successfully executing projects while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring safety, quality, and profitability goals are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple heavy civil and water/wastewater construction projects from award through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Lead project teams, including Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, and utility providers.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Track project performance and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Support business development and pursue opportunities for repeat work.
Experience Needed
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction.
- Experience managing water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, pump station, pipeline, utility, or civil infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record managing projects ranging from $5M to $100M+.
- Experience with excavation, underground utilities, site development, concrete, and earthwork operations.
- Background working with municipalities, public agencies, and engineering consultants.
- Experience negotiating and managing subcontractor agreements and change orders.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent field experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and project delivery processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management software.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
