Project Manager - Mission Critical/Data Center/Healthcare
Position Overview
A leading architecture and design firm is seeking a skilled Architectural Project Manager to join its growing Data Center Design Team. Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage client relationships and expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and fee parameters
- Oversee construction phase documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and clarifications
- Lead the production of comprehensive design and construction documents
- Implement quality control and assurance processes
- Present technical solutions and project phasing strategies to stakeholders
- Identify and resolve design and technical challenges effectively
Team Leadership
- Define roles and responsibilities for project team members
- Mentor and support staff development through feedback and stretch opportunities
- Foster open communication and collaboration within the team
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in design and execution
- Coordinate efforts across internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders
Business Development
- Develop competitive proposals and fee structures for new projects
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through professional networks
Technical Expertise
- Apply industry standards and construction practices appropriately
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and resolve code-related issues
- Stay current with emerging methodologies, technologies, and materials
- Conduct and participate in client presentations and meetings
Qualifications
- This is an on-site position
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program (NAAB or equivalent)
- Licensed Architect (or equivalent professional registration)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial architecture
- Proven experience managing large teams and complex, large-scale projects
- Strong background in design documentation, construction administration, and consultant coordination
- Experience managing project budgets and schedules
- Proficiency in Revit required; familiarity with other 3D modeling software is a plus
- Strong skills in client relations, marketing, and master planning
- Demonstrated excellence in conceptual design and technical execution
