A process engineering and control system integration organisation is seeking a Project Manager to join its team in Rochester, NY. The organisation employs degreed chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineers and specialises in delivering automated process system solutions to the food, beverage, and dairy industries.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to adapt within a fast-paced environment, solve complex problems, and apply fundamental engineering principles.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Review and interpret project contract documentation
  • Identify growth opportunities and initiate new projects
  • Develop project budgets and prepare client proposals
  • Establish and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery
  • Ensure projects are completed to a high standard, within scope and budget
  • Lead cross-functional teams of process, electrical, and software engineers
  • Oversee all project-related documentation and communications
  • Facilitate project review meetings with internal teams and clients
  • Manage full project lifecycle, including initiation, execution, and close-out
  • Provide client support both onsite and remotely
  • Participate in system commissioning and startup activities at client sites
  • Travel approximately 20-25% across the United States, depending on project needs

Qualifications

  • Strong professionalism demonstrated through communication, teamwork, integrity, and resilience
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience within the food, beverage, dairy, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required
  • Project management or construction management experience is preferred
