Project Manger - Land development
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this role include mentoring and training entry-level to mid-level designers and analysts, as well as developing site designs. This includes site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, landscaping, lighting, and soil erosion and sediment control measures.
The position also involves project management duties, zoning and land development permitting, field inspections, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, site plan drafting, environmental impact assessments, and preparation of technical reports.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
While a range of skills will support success in this role, such as experience with AutoCAD, grading and drainage design, field work, and technical writing; the ideal candidate is someone who is motivated to overcome challenges and bring innovative thinking to their work.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in site and grading design, zoning, and site plan permitting
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and/or technical writing
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Self-motivated with a proactive mindset
