RPLS - Austin
We are seeking a Texas-licensed Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to lead and grow a survey practice in a high-impact leadership role. This position offers significant autonomy, entrepreneurial freedom, and the ability to shape the future of the survey group. Key Responsibilities:
- Practice Leadership: Establish and expand the Texas survey team. Recruit, train, and mentor staff while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Project Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of survey projects, including planning, field operations, technical review, budgeting, and invoicing.
- Technical Expertise: Direct and review ALTA/NSPS, boundary, and control surveys. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
- Quality Control: Serve as the final reviewer for all deliverables, maintaining accuracy and consistency across projects.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver solutions that meet project goals and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Texas RPLS license required (or LSIT with ability to obtain licensure promptly).
- Minimum 3 years of professional land surveying experience.
- Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, and modern survey software; experience with Trimble Access/TBC or AutoCAD strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license required for field operations.
