Senior HVAC Service Technician (Commercial)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support a growing portfolio of projects across healthcare, education, and industrial facilities in the Atlanta area.
You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems in complex and often mission-critical environments, ensuring systems run efficiently, safely, and in line with compliance standards. This role suits someone who can work independently, stay organised, and deliver high-quality service in fast-paced settings.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5+ years' experience in commercial HVAC service
Experience in healthcare, education, or industrial environments
Familiarity with DDC/BMS systems (preferred)
Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients
Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
Willingness to travel locally across Atlanta
Flexibility with working hours when required
Valid driving licence and ability to meet compliance requirements
Technical Skills:
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and maintenance standards
- Hands-on experience with copper piping and PVC
- Advanced experience with refrigeration systems, including diagnosing and fixing faults
- Solid understanding of temperature, humidity, and air quality control in HVAC systems
- Knowledge of psychrometrics and how air properties impact system performance
- Experience working across a wide range of HVAC systems, including:
- Air-cooled and water-cooled systems
- Chilled water and hot water systems
- VAV systems
- Steam systems
- Building Automation / BMS systems
- Understanding of heating and cooling load calculations and system optimisation
