Senior ICT Consultant (RCDD) - Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT / ICT Consultant to join our team in the Chicago metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will bring 12-15 years of progressive experience in information technology, telecommunications, and low-voltage infrastructure design, along with deep expertise supporting AEC industry clients. This role requires strong consulting capability, excellent client‑facing communication, and the ability to lead technical design efforts across complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of IT, ICT, and low-voltage systems for AEC clients across commercial, industrial, and mission‑critical sectors.
- Serve as a senior consultant and subject‑matter expert to internal teams, architects, engineers, and external stakeholders.
- Develop structured cabling, network, telecom, and technology infrastructure design packages aligned with industry standards and project requirements.
- Support design documentation including drawings, specifications, budgets, and technical reports.
- Conduct technology assessments, site surveys, and system evaluations.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff and design teams.
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high‑quality technical delivery.
- Collaborate within a hybrid model, spending up to 3 days per week in the Chicago office as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 12-15 years of professional experience in IT, ICT, telecommunications design, or related technology consulting roles.
- Active RCDD certification (Registered Communications Distribution Designer).
- Direct consulting experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is essential.
- Strong background in structured cabling, low-voltage systems, communications infrastructure, and technology design standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross‑functional design teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must reside in the Chicago metro area and be able to work in a hybrid schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and other relevant design tools.
- Familiarity with technology planning for enterprise, healthcare, higher education, or mission-critical environments.
- Additional certifications (e.g., DCDC, CTS, PMP) a plus.
