Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will take a technical and leadership position within the structural engineering team, contributing to a broad range of building projects,including healthcare, higher education, multi‑family, commercial, hospitality, and renovation work. Responsibilities include:
- Leading structural design efforts and overseeing project delivery from concept to completion.
- Setting priorities, establishing project objectives, and managing budgets and schedules.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers.
- Managing client communication and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Supporting business development through proposal preparation, tracking opportunities, and helping expand the structural practice.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical competence, leadership ability, and experience managing complex structural engineering projects. Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a master's degree with a structural emphasis is preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in building structural design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states as needed.
- Proficiency in design and coordination software such as Revit and Bluebeam.
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with project management and involvement in business development activities is beneficial.
