Job Summary

We are partner with a multidisciplinary civil engineering firm, seeking a Site/Civil Engineer to join a collaborative team in Houston, TX. This individual will play a key role in the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in site/civil engineering design for mixed-use developments, retail centers, residential communities, higher education, federal projects, and other land development work within a continuous learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and modification of engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans using engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).

  • Analyze reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to evaluate soil composition, terrain, hydrology, and other conditions impacting project planning and design.

  • Support permitting efforts, with familiarity of local, state, and federal land use regulations considered a plus.

  • Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and erosion control.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail with solid analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to follow direction and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
