I'm partnered with a growing land surveying firm in New Hampshire that is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join their team. This organization supports a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, municipal, and utility land development projects, with several recent developments totaling more than $50 million in project value.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the field, taking ownership of projects, and leading survey crews while contributing to high-profile developments throughout the region.
Responsibilities
- Lead a two-person survey field crew with support from an Instrument Operator
- Collect a wide variety of survey field data accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and mentor the Instrument Operator
- Upload and download electronic survey data
- Maintain detailed field book notes and documentation
- Coordinate truck and equipment maintenance schedules
- Clear brush, set monuments, and perform other field-related tasks as needed
- Ensure quality, safety, and efficiency on all survey assignments
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of survey field experience in a similar role
- Experience performing:
- Boundary Surveys
- Topographic Surveys
- Route Surveys
- Construction Layout
- As-Built Surveys / Certifications
- Strong understanding of survey field procedures and equipment
- Associate degree in Surveying or Engineering Technology preferred, but not required
- Ability to work year-round in varying weather conditions
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
