About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and driven Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to join our Austin office and contribute to a wide range of impactful projects across Texas. This role is ideal for a surveyor who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings a strong technical foundation, leadership capabilities, and a passion for precision.

Team & Culture:

Join a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, and survey professionals with a collective background spanning:

  • Land development (residential, commercial, mixed-use)
  • Transportation infrastructure (TxDOT highways, municipal roadways)
  • Public works (water/wastewater, stormwater, utilities)
  • Energy (renewables, transmission corridors, oil & gas)
  • Environmental and conservation projects (wetland delineation, floodplain mapping)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage survey projects from scoping through delivery.
  • Perform and oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, easement, and construction surveys.
  • Prepare plats, legal descriptions, and survey exhibits for public and private clients.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Supervise field crews and office staff; conduct QA/QC reviews.
  • Maintain compliance with TBPELS standards and project-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas RPLS license.
  • 5+ years of professional surveying experience, with demonstrated leadership in project execution.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and related survey software.
  • Strong understanding of Texas land surveying laws, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and client-facing skills.
  • Valid Texas driver's license.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with TxDOT, municipal, or utility clients.
  • Exposure to GIS, UAV/drone mapping, and LiDAR technologies.
  • Ability to support business development and proposal efforts.
