What You'll Lead
As Director of Roofing Design, you will:
Establish and lead a new Roofing Design Division within the firm.
Develop design standards, workflows, QA/QC processes, and best practices.
Oversee roofing design projects across commercial, industrial, institutional, and specialty structures.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams, consultants, and clients.
Mentor and grow a team of designers, engineers, and technical staff.
Support proposals, pricing, and client engagement-without the pressure of unrealistic BD quotas.
Ensure technical excellence, code compliance, and high‑quality deliverables.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of roofing design experience within engineering, consulting, or roofing system design.
Deep knowledge of roofing systems, materials, codes, and industry standards.
Experience leading projects, teams, or technical groups.
Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
A builder's mindset-someone excited to create, refine, and lead a new division.
PE or RRC/RRO credentials are a strong plus.
Interest in (or experience with) a seller‑doer role and building a book of business.
