Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Manager to oversee safety compliance and risk management across multiple building project sites in Japan. This role requires frequent travel to construction sites and close coordination with project teams to ensure adherence to local regulations and global EHS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies and procedures across all active project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with Japanese laws and international standards.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Provide EHS training and guidance to site personnel and contractors.
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Prepare and submit EHS reports and documentation.
- Support project planning with EHS input during design and construction phases.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in EHS management within construction or building projects.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese EHS regulations and international safety standards.
- Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written); proficiency in English preferred.
- Ability to travel frequently to project sites across Japan.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications in EHS or safety management preferred.
