Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineering Leader to guide and oversee a team of industrial engineers. This role involves managing design projects across sectors such as chemical, power, utilities, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in industrial power distribution systems and substations, along with strong leadership and innovation skills.

Location Options: Multiple office locations or remote work available.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of industrial engineers.
  • Technical Oversight: Lead complex electrical system designs to meet project requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet all applicable regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold internal policies and standards in all design work.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct site visits and update design requirements accordingly.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Author technical papers and contribute to industry publications.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate on proposals in response to client RFPs.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand and address design needs.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the organization at conferences and events.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for clients and external partners.
  • Project Reporting: Provide updates to project management teams.
  • Staff Development: Support junior staff in their professional growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supervising engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with FEL and FEED processes.
  • Knowledge of design-build delivery methods.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to obtain multi-state licensure.
  • Experience with budgeting and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in engineering estimation.

Travel Requirement: Approximately 10%


Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Deep understanding of electrical design principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Experience with power system analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with CAD and 3D/4D design software.
