Electrical Project Manager (BESS)
A leading renewable energy developer with an expanding footprint in Japan is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of BESS and hybrid Solar + BESS projects from late-stage development through construction and commissioning.
- Lead electrical design coordination and execution for BESS and hybrid (Solar + BESS) projects
- Manage EPC contractors, electrical vendors, and grid interconnection stakeholders
- Oversee electrical scope from detailed engineering through commissioning and handover
- Ensure compliance with Japanese grid codes, safety standards, and project schedules
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or project management in power/renewables
- Hands-on experience with BESS, substations, inverters, or grid interconnection
- Strong understanding of MV/HV systems and Japanese utility coordination
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment
- Experience in renewable IPP, EPC, or energy storage developer
- Prior involvement in Solar + Storage or standalone BESS projects
- Experience working in Japan or with Japanese utilities and regulations
- Be at the forefront of Japan's fast-growing energy storage market
- Work on utility-scale, technically complex hybrid projects
- High autonomy and visibility within a growing project platform
