A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Fire Protection & Plumbing Engineer III to join its fully remote team. This is an opportunity to work on complex commercial building projects alongside senior engineering and project leadership, with strong exposure to design, documentation, and client-facing work.
The Role
You'll play a key role across the full project lifecycle-supporting design, documentation, and construction administration-while working both independently and collaboratively on technically complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute plumbing and fire protection system designs
- Perform hydraulic calculations, system analysis, and technical computations
- Produce and review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Prepare and edit specifications and construction documents
- Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and support project closeout
- Interface directly with clients on technical matters
- Contribute to surveys, reports, and pre-construction documentation
- Support project reporting and coordination with internal teams
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering (or related)
- ~5+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems design and applicable codes
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and hydraulic calculations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a remote environment
- Strong communication skills, including client interaction
