Forensic Accountant - Senior Manager
Our client, a leading valuation and forensic consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Manager to support the leadership of their Business Interruption Insurance Division. This is a pivotal role for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in forensic accounting, insurance claims, and operational leadership. The division manages a portfolio generating over $2 million in annual revenue and plays a critical role in resolving high-value, complex claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the execution of business interruption claims, ensuring timely, accurate, and defensible financial loss assessments.
- Oversee the preparation of forensic accounting reports, including revenue loss calculations, extra expense analyses, and claim documentation.
- Collaborate with legal teams, insurers, and clients to support the resolution of complex claims and disputes.
- Ensure compliance with insurance industry standards, evolving regulations, and internal quality controls.
- Support the Managing Director in strategic planning, client development, and operational improvements.
- Mentor and develop junior staff and managers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and service offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in forensic accounting, insurance claims, or financial loss analysis, with a focus on business interruption.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of business interruption insurance policies, claim methodologies, and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present findings to clients, legal counsel, and insurers.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
