Position Overview
A leading national engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Forensic Engineer with 8-10 years of experience to join its Dallas office. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile investigations involving structural failures, building envelope issues, natural disasters, and construction defects across a variety of sectors including commercial, institutional, and residential.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site investigations to assess structural damage and failures.
- Analyze construction materials, design documents, and building systems.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and expert opinions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and legal professionals.
- Provide litigation support and expert witness testimony as needed.
- Manage multiple projects and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
- 8-10 years of experience in forensic engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and field testing methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for site inspections and client engagements.
