Currently seeking a seasoned General Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple project sites in North Carolina.


Position Overview

The General Superintendent will oversee all field operations for multiple water and wastewater treatment plant projects. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring that projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in heavy civil construction and a proactive, team-oriented approach to project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction to site superintendents and field teams across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and progress meetings.
  • Mentor and develop field staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field-related issues and client coordination.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent or general superintendent role.
  • Extensive experience with water and wastewater treatment plant construction.
  • Strong knowledge of underground utilities, concrete structures, mechanical systems, and site logistics.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Procore).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites throughout North Carolina.
