Role Overview
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Charlotte. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex geotechnical investigations and design efforts across a wide array of infrastructure and development projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to strategic project planning, client engagement, and technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design for infrastructure, utility, and site development projects.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, foundation recommendations, slope stability analyses, and earthwork specifications.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables while ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to support project development and approvals.
- Support business development efforts through proposal writing and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina is required.
- Proven experience in subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, and geotechnical design.
- Strong understanding of local geology, soil mechanics, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary projects in public, private, or petroleum sectors is a plus.
