Position Overview

The firm is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to lead geotechnical engineering operations in the Dallas/DFW market. This role involves project leadership, mentoring junior staff, managing field and laboratory components, interfacing with clients, and delivering high-quality technical work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage geotechnical projects from proposal through final report delivery.
  • Develop scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and technical proposals.
  • Oversee drilling programs and subsurface exploration activities.
  • Coordinate with construction materials testing and environmental teams on multi‑disciplinary projects.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers, field technicians, and drilling crews.
  • Review and interpret field and laboratory data to produce geotechnical analyses and recommendations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, contractors, industrial clients, and public agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and internal quality processes.
  • Provide geotechnical recommendations for foundations, pavements, retaining structures, slopes, and groundwater management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience with project management responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of North Texas soil and groundwater conditions.
  • Experience with drilling operations, laboratory testing, and field engineering.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and client‑interaction skills.
