They are currently seeking a Geotechnical Service Manager to lead and grow their geotechnical service line in the Nashville region.
Position Summary
The Geotechnical Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of geotechnical engineering services, ensuring technical excellence, managing project execution, and supporting business development efforts. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the geotechnical service line in the Nashville office, ensuring high-quality project delivery and client satisfaction.
Manage and mentor a team of geotechnical engineers, field staff, and technicians.
Oversee geotechnical investigations, laboratory testing, engineering analysis, and design recommendations.
Review and approve technical reports, proposals, and design documents.
Collaborate with project managers and other discipline leads to support multidisciplinary projects.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Support business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client meetings.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Minimum 6-8 years of geotechnical engineering experience, including project and team management.
Strong technical background in soil mechanics, foundation design, slope stability, and geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, LPILE, SLOPE/W, PLAXIS).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills.
