Job Summary:
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide range of construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and more. This role is critical to keeping the fleet running safely and efficiently on job sites across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and scheduled services.
- Maintain accurate service records and logs.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns on job sites.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and equipment operators to prioritize repairs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
