Position Summary
The HR Generalist will serve as a key member of the Human Resources team, supporting a broad range of HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, talent management, compliance, benefits administration, payroll support, and onboarding. This individual will work closely with employees and leadership to drive HR initiatives, ensure compliance with employment regulations, and help foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts for a variety of positions across the organization.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, and hiring decisions.
- Maintain relationships with external recruiting partners, job boards, and talent networks.
- Track recruiting metrics and identify opportunities to improve hiring effectiveness.
Employee Onboarding & Engagement
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding programs.
- Ensure all pre-employment and new hire documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and company culture programs.
- Assist with employee communications and recognition programs.
Talent Management
- Support performance management processes, goal setting, and employee development initiatives.
- Assist with career development and succession planning activities.
- Partner with managers to address performance concerns and employee relations matters.
- Help implement programs that strengthen employee retention and professional growth.
Compliance & HR Administration
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Support audits, reporting requirements, and HR recordkeeping practices.
- Investigate and resolve employee inquiries while maintaining confidentiality.
Benefits & Payroll Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and enrollment activities.
- Support annual open enrollment and benefits administration processes.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee data management through Paylocity.
- Coordinate employee status changes, compensation updates, and related HRIS transactions.
- Partner with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll and benefits administration.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of progressive human resources experience.
- Experience supporting multiple HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and talent management.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll platforms.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- Experience supporting a construction, engineering, architecture, or professional services organization.
- Experience helping organizations navigate periods of growth, change, or transformation.
