ICT Practice Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Practice Lead to guide and expand a growing technology consulting practice. This role includes shaping strategic direction, driving business development, overseeing project delivery, and mentoring a high‑performing ICT team. The ideal candidate brings technical depth, strong business acumen, and a collaborative, client‑focused mindset.


Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the ICT practice, including service offerings and long‑term growth plans.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to integrate ICT solutions across transportation, land development, aviation, and smart infrastructure markets.
  • Establish practice standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.

Business Development

  • Lead business development efforts by identifying opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and preparing winning proposals.
  • Collaborate with leadership across offices and regions to expand ICT services in multiple markets and geographies.
  • Represent the firm at conferences, industry events, and professional associations.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Oversee and manage complex ICT projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical expertise in areas such as network design, structured cabling, communications systems, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), security systems, data centers, and emerging technologies.
  • Support multidisciplinary teams by providing ICT subject‑matter expertise.

Team Development & Mentorship

  • Build and mentor a high‑performing ICT team, supporting recruitment, skill development, and career growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with transportation, civil, electrical, and planning teams to integrate ICT into broader infrastructure programs.
  • Serve as an internal expert on industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital transformation opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in ICT engineering, design, or consulting.
  • Demonstrated success in business development or practice growth.
  • Strong knowledge of ICT standards such as TIA, BICSI, NEC, and applicable building codes.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as RCDD, CTS, PMP, PE, or equivalent.
  • Experience with smart buildings, IoT, ITS, or connected infrastructure solutions.
  • Prior experience in a consulting environment within the A/E/C or technology sectors.
  • Existing client relationships in transportation, municipal, aviation, higher education, healthcare, or corporate markets.
