Overview:
A well-established industrial electrical contractor is seeking highly skilled Journeyman Industrial Electricians to join its team. This full-time role involves working on industrial projects both locally and across the country, with a focus on engineering, programming, custom control panels, system controls, and electrical installations. Residential and commercial work is not part of the scope-this opportunity is ideal for electricians looking to advance their careers in the industrial sector.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations and maintenance on industrial systems
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and prints
- Collaborate with the Installation Manager, engineers, and customers to resolve issues and ensure successful project outcomes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Prioritize safety in all tasks and environments
- Understand and work with 480V power distribution systems
- Plan and organize work tasks, materials, and schedules
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial electrical contracting
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, and OSHA standards
- Skilled in conduit layout and bending
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Journeyman electrician license preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license required
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work regular day shifts and overtime as needed
- Capable of lifting/moving up to 75 lbs
- Must provide own hand tools (power tools supplied)
- Willingness to travel for projects
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass background checks and random drug/alcohol screenings
