Position Overview

This role combines engineering expertise with project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will support clients and internal teams by coordinating technical requests, reviewing construction documents, and ensuring the correct application of products. Strong communication, organizational skills, and a passion for sustainable design are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review construction documents and generate RFIs.
  • Evaluate and compare products, ensuring proper application.
  • Support project planning and execution, including pricing, shop drawings, and material verification.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support engineering and pricing needs.
  • Attend client meetings, job site visits, and training sessions as needed.
  • Provide documentation and support to accounting for project tracking.
  • Review and comment on project specifications and plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; consulting experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and design.
  • Strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD; energy modeling experience is a plus.
  • EIT/FE or PE license is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required (mileage reimbursed).
  • Must pass background and drug screening (including random testing).

Additional Skills

  • Engineering: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, heat transfer, and psychrometrics. Innovative mindset with a desire to push industry standards.
  • Language: Ability to write and present technical information clearly.
  • Math: Proficiency in basic arithmetic, percentages, and graph interpretation.
  • Reasoning: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork.
  • Regular use of computer and phone; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires visual acuity and physical mobility for site visits.
