Mid- Senior Land Development PM
LVI is representing a small to mid-size consultancy firm that is looking for a mid-senior land development project manager with 8+ years of experience in land development across residential, commercial and industrial sectors. This will be based in the Maryland area.
Role Overview:
As a Mid-Senior Land Development Project Manager, you will oversee and manage the planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to navigate the complexities of land development and drive successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead land development projects from inception through to completion, including site planning, permitting, design, and construction.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, engineering, construction) to ensure project scope, timelines, and budgets are adhered to.
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local codes and zoning requirements.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, identifying and mitigating risks throughout the lifecycle.
- Oversee contractors, consultants, and vendors, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, addressing issues and providing solutions to keep the project on track.
- Manage project budgets and ensure proper cost controls are in place, including value engineering and cost forecasting.
- Participate in business development efforts by supporting proposal writing, contract negotiation, and client relations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in land development, project management, or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge of land development processes, including zoning, permits, environmental regulations, and construction methods.
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, etc.) and MS Office Suite.
- PMP, AICP, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
