Missouri | Field Survey Technician
My client, a well-established civil engineering firm, is seeking a Field Survey Technician to join their team across multiple Missouri office locations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fieldwork, working with advanced surveying technology, and supporting a variety of civil engineering and construction projects.
- Conduct field surveys using conventional and GPS surveying equipment
- Collect, record, and verify accurate survey measurements and field data
- Assist with the preparation of survey maps, sketches, and reports
- Set up and operate total stations, levels, GPS units, and other survey instruments
- Support engineering, design, and construction teams with survey data and project information
- Maintain survey equipment and adhere to company safety standards
- Travel to project sites throughout the region as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of field surveying experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related degree preferred
- Experience operating survey equipment and data collection systems
- Understanding of civil engineering plans, construction documents, and survey terminology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred Experience
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar survey software
- GPS and total station technology
- OSHA or construction safety training
