NEPA & Natural Resources Practice Leader
Key Responsibilities
- Lead NEPA documentation for CDOT and other agencies (CatEx, EA, EIS, BA, PEL, FONSI, ROD).
- Oversee biological surveys & permitting.
- Manage wetlands delineations, wildlife/vegetation inventories, habitat assessments, T&E species surveys.
- Lead restoration/revegetation planning and noxious weed management plans.
- Lead and support Title V, NSR, and PSD air permitting.
- Manage compliance tracking & reporting.
- Oversee GHG reporting and emissions analysis.
- Conduct NEPA‑related air quality impact analysis.
- Manage indoor and outdoor air monitoring programs.
- Serve as a primary client contact for CDOT and other agencies.
- Drive business development and lead proposal efforts.
- Build long‑term client relationships and expand into new markets.
- Mentor staff and grow service line capabilities.
- Shape the strategic direction and growth of the practice.
Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years in NEPA, natural resources, or environmental permitting.
- Proven ability to win work and bring in new clients.
- Experience with CDOT, FHWA, or similar state/federal processes.
- Comfortable leading interdisciplinary teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, seeks autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to build something.
