NERC Technical Lead

Position: NERC Technical Lead (100% Remote)
Snapshot of some responsibilities:
- Lead the daily operations of the CIP compliance program across all renewable energy NERC-registered facilities, ensuring adherence to standards related to things such as managed switches, SCADA systems, RTACs, etc.
- Manage the collection and timely submission of NERC GADS data for all applicable sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quarterly deadlines.
- Implement and manage compliance tools and systems to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support for compliance-related evaluations, project management, and program delivery.
- Train internal technical teams on NERC compliance requirements and best practices.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting tasks as needed.
- Design and deliver training programs to support compliance awareness and capability building.
- Contribute to firewall, system security, and network operations beyond CIP compliance scope.
- Oversee the transition of services from third-party providers, ensuring continuity and compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the broader compliance and operations teams.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of NERC experience & supporting NERC functions preferably for a renewable energy owner/developer/EPC or OEM.
- Previous experience supporting solar, wind, BESS a plus.
- Familiarity with SCADA, the US renewable energy market, networking or compliance experience.
- Additional experience with cyber security for renewable energy systems a plus.
