About the Role
As a Preconstruction Manager / Senior Estimator, you will support and lead key preconstruction activities, contributing to accurate cost planning, constructability reviews, and early client engagement. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and design partners to ensure clarity, alignment, and feasibility during project development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead estimating efforts for mission‑critical projects, including conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates.
- Support preconstruction planning through cost studies, benchmarking, quantity take‑offs, and value‑engineering exercises.
- Collaborate with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to clarify project goals and ensure alignment throughout preconstruction.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and professional service.
- Assist in identifying potential risks and opportunities that may impact budget, schedule, or design.
- Prepare, analyze, and present estimate packages and preconstruction deliverables.
- Coordinate with project management teams to support a seamless handoff into construction.
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to team development and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5-10+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience, ideally including mission‑critical or data center work.
- Strong background in quantity surveying, cost analysis, and conceptual estimating.
- Proficiency with industry estimating and scheduling tools (e.g., Timberline, OST, P6, Bluebeam).
- Strong communication and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and contribute to a high‑performance work environment.
