With a strong portfolio in the Higher Education market, the firm is seeking a skilled and driven Project Architect to join their collaborative team.

Position Overview:
The Project Architect will play a key leadership role in the design and delivery of complex Higher Education projects, from early concept through construction administration. This individual will ensure that design integrity, technical quality, and client expectations are met, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design and documentation process for higher education projects

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver thoughtful, well-executed design solutions

  • Oversee all phases of project development, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration

  • Ensure code compliance, building systems integration, and quality control throughout project lifecycle

  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration

  • Contribute to strategic planning, proposal development, and presentations for prospective clients

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)

  • Architectural licensure preferred

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years focused on Higher Education projects

  • Proficiency in Revit and other design and visualization tools

  • Strong understanding of campus planning, academic programming, and institutional client needs

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills

  • Experience managing consultant teams and client relationships

  • LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices preferred
