About the Opportunity
A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Project Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join its growing land development team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated civil engineer who enjoys managing projects, developing client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and delivering complex site development projects from concept through construction.
The successful candidate will work on a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple market sectors while collaborating with planners, engineers, environmental professionals, and project stakeholders.
Position Overview
The Project Civil Engineer / Project Manager will lead the planning, design, permitting, and execution of land development and infrastructure projects while serving as a key point of contact for clients and project teams.

- Commercial developments

- Public and private infrastructure improvements
This role combines technical leadership, project management, business development, and staff mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead land development and site infrastructure projects from initial planning through construction.
- Manage client communications and maintain strong long-term relationships.
- Prepare and oversee site design, grading, drainage, utility infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control plans.
- Coordinate permitting and regulatory approvals.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and fee proposals.
- Monitor project financial performance and ensure delivery within established budgets and deadlines.
- Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, stormwater analyses, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, stormwater management design, and water quality compliance efforts.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to strategic growth objectives.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and support team development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence.
- 6+ years of land development or site civil engineering experience.
- Proven project management experience delivering projects from concept through construction.
- Strong understanding of permitting and land development processes.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel locally as required.
Technical Skills
- Site layout and site development design.
- Grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater design.
- Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
- Erosion and sediment control design.
- Technical report and proposal preparation.
- Proficiency with industry-standard civil engineering design software.
