Position Title: Project Development Advisor - Renewable Energy

Overview:
A leading renewable energy organization in the Asia-Pacific region is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Development Advisor to support its expanding portfolio of clean energy initiatives across Australia. These include solar, wind, battery storage, and hydrogen projects. This role is pivotal in driving project development through regulatory approvals, stakeholder engagement, and technical coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead coordination efforts to secure timely development approvals in collaboration with internal development teams.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities, including liaising with consultants, government bodies, First Nations groups, and community representatives.
- Manage project budgets and consultant contracts, including procurement processes, contract execution, and grant funding agreements.
- Provide technical and environmental input across project phases, ensuring alignment with legal, policy, and operational requirements.
- Oversee field investigations such as cultural heritage surveys and geotechnical assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Assist in financial and contractual operations, including purchase orders and invoicing.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Planning or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on project development.
- Familiarity with development approval processes for large-scale energy projects, particularly within eastern Australia.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, planning frameworks, and project risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder consultation and community engagement.
- Proficient in report writing and documentation.
