Project Manager
We are expanding our Industrial Controls team and seeking an experienced Project Manager to support operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking complex challenges and turning them into practical, high‑quality solutions for customers.
This position is based onsite at our Raleigh, NC office.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple trades and project scopes, ensuring work is completed within approved budgets and schedules.
- Provide management oversight, technical guidance, and support to project teams and field personnel.
- Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring all safety procedures and expectations are communicated and upheld.
- Develop detailed project scope proposals and assist with estimating activities.
- Lead projects from initiation through completion, proactively addressing issues and keeping work on track.
- Procure required equipment and materials.
- Participate in site visits, project reviews, and internal team meetings.
- Drive projects to successful closeout, maximizing customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Track project and sales activity using CRM tools and maintain reliable forecasting.
- Visit customer locations and jobsites as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial electrical controls or related fields.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to obtain OSHA‑30 certification within six months if not already certified.
- Experience with system integration, electrical installation, or supervisory roles is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Understanding of electrical design and estimating within manufacturing and food production environments.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, controls integration, UL 508A panel solutions, and related OEM/manufacturing opportunities.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical control drawings and power schematics.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of project scheduling and timeline management.
- Confident presenting to internal teams and customer groups.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and oversee teams of 10+ individuals.
- Skilled in negotiation and customer relationship management.
- Comfortable operating independently, anticipating project shifts, and responding appropriately.
- Proficient with standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Drive).
- Eagerness to learn new concepts and effectively communicate solutions to teams and clients.
Working Conditions
- Work will take place in the office, at home, customer sites, and various jobsites as needed.
- Some tasks may require extended periods of sitting or standing.
- Jobsite visits may involve exposure to noise, outdoor weather conditions, uneven terrain, ladders, stairs, and physically demanding movements such as bending or kneeling.
