Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Provider / Project Manager to join a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality commissioning services across a range of building projects. This is a 100% remote position with 30-40% travel required to project sites both locally and nationally. The Project Manager will oversee commissioning projects from preconstruction through close-out, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction across multiple concurrent assignments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal team members.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and owners both verbally and in writing.
  • Develop commissioning scopes and fee proposals.
  • Review project documentation including plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Communicate project scope, safety protocols, and regulations to team members.
  • Collaborate with project coordinators and accountants on planning and financials.
  • Conduct design reviews and facilitate Owner Project Requirements (OPR) workshops.
  • Maintain and revise commissioning plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform site visits and generate observation reports.
  • Develop and execute test scripts (PFC, FPT, IST).
  • Lead commissioning meetings and document outcomes.
  • Manage issue resolution and final reporting.
  • Conduct warranty walkthroughs and seasonal testing.

Qualifications

  • Highly organized with strong leadership and client service skills.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles in the built environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with energy codes and LEED commissioning requirements.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10+ years of relevant experience in MEP construction, commissioning, and project management.
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • Professional Engineering License and Building Commissioning Certification are a plus.
  • Experience with commissioning software (e.g., Cx Alloy) preferred.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
  • Field experience and ability to interpret construction drawings required.
  • Financial literacy related to project budgets and reporting.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable climbing stairs and ladders.
