Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Provider / Project Manager to join a dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality commissioning services across a range of building projects. This is a 100% remote position with 30-40% travel required to project sites both locally and nationally. The Project Manager will oversee commissioning projects from preconstruction through close-out, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction across multiple concurrent assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal team members.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and owners both verbally and in writing.
- Develop commissioning scopes and fee proposals.
- Review project documentation including plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Communicate project scope, safety protocols, and regulations to team members.
- Collaborate with project coordinators and accountants on planning and financials.
- Conduct design reviews and facilitate Owner Project Requirements (OPR) workshops.
- Maintain and revise commissioning plans throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform site visits and generate observation reports.
- Develop and execute test scripts (PFC, FPT, IST).
- Lead commissioning meetings and document outcomes.
- Manage issue resolution and final reporting.
- Conduct warranty walkthroughs and seasonal testing.
Qualifications
- Highly organized with strong leadership and client service skills.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles in the built environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with energy codes and LEED commissioning requirements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 10+ years of relevant experience in MEP construction, commissioning, and project management.
- Project Management Certification preferred.
- Professional Engineering License and Building Commissioning Certification are a plus.
- Experience with commissioning software (e.g., Cx Alloy) preferred.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
- Field experience and ability to interpret construction drawings required.
- Financial literacy related to project budgets and reporting.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable climbing stairs and ladders.
