One of the top transportation teams in the country with a national presence is looking to bring on a Senior Roadway Engineer to the team in Florida.
This role sits within a highly regarded transportation team that's heavily involved in FDOT work across Florida. The group handles a steady mix of complex roadway projects, including high-profile interchanges and corridor improvements, giving engineers consistent exposure to technically challenging work.
You'll be stepping into a team that's busy, visible, and trusted to deliver-where senior engineers are given real ownership of projects and the chance to play a key role in delivery, client interaction, and team development.

The role:
- Opportunity to serve as Engineer of Record on impactful FDOT projects
- A strong, consistent pipeline of transportation work
- A mix of technical design and leadership responsibilities

Responsibilities:
- Develop roadway geometrics and prepare detailed transportation design plans
- Serve as Engineer of Record on roadway projects including widenings and interchanges
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and contract documents
- Review work completed by junior engineers and provide mentorship
- Collaborate with project managers and discipline leads to deliver projects on schedule
- Support business development efforts including proposals and pursuits
- Coordinate with DOTs, municipalities, and contractors
- Provide support during construction as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience on FDOT or similar public agency projects
- PE license in Florida (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Strong background in roadway design and FDOT standards
- Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer
- Experience managing multiple assignments and project deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
