Our client is a leading Asia-focused carbon and sustainability advisory firm delivering end‑to‑end decarbonisation solutions, including corporate strategy, carbon accounting, supply‑chain decarbonisation programs, and technical implementation support. They work extensively with manufacturers and global brands across electronics, apparel, real estate, consumer goods, and related sectors, with strong capabilities across Scope 1, 2, and 3 decarbonisation supported by engineering, data, and regional delivery teams.
Role Overview
Our client seeks a Senior Carbon Advisory Consultant to support the growth of their Korea practice. This is a key role that is focused on delivering carbon advisory, supporting supply‑chain decarbonisation programs, conducting GHG assessments, and engaging with Korean corporates and manufacturers.
You will work closely with regional technical specialists across Asia but will not be responsible for leading or managing a team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Delivery
- Support Korean corporates and manufacturers with GHG accounting, carbon footprints, and emissions analysis (Scope 1-3).
- Contribute to facility‑level and corporate‑level assessments, including data collection, modeling, and opportunity evaluation.
- Provide guidance on K‑ETS fundamentals, including compliance cycles, allowance management basics, and offset eligibility (no deep trading required).
- Assist in delivering supply‑chain decarbonisation programs, including supplier training, capability-building, action plan development, and progress tracking.
Technical & Analytical
- Perform quantitative analysis (Excel/data modelling) for emissions calculations, abatement scenarios, and cost‑benefit evaluations.
- Draft and refine client-facing deliverables: reports, presentations, roadmaps, dashboards, and templates.
- Support localisation of tools, methodologies, and materials for the Korea market.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate closely with consultants and technical teams across Asia (engineering, supply chain, implementation).
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and internal project reviews.
- Manage workstreams independently and ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 5-15 years of experience in sustainability, carbon consulting, energy, environment, or related technical roles.
- Practical understanding of GHG Protocol, carbon accounting techniques, and decarbonisation frameworks.
- Knowledge of K‑ETS basics (allowance categories, offsets, compliance obligations).
- Strong analytical skills; ability to work with structured and unstructured data.
- Fluency in Korean and English (written and spoken).
- Comfortable working with regional, cross‑functional teams.
Preferred
- Exposure to supply‑chain decarbonisation, energy audits, or on‑site sustainability assessments.
- Prior consulting experience or strong client-facing communication skills.
- Familiarity with voluntary carbon markets is a plus.
